This pure malt Japanese whiskey has been to many places before coming home to its bottle and we're not talking about only Japan. Kurayoshi is derived from whiskies sourced from Scottish distilleries, blended with Japanese whisky and volcanic-stone-filtered water.
It is then aged for more than 3 years in ex-bourbon white oak casks. The distillery is located in the Tottori Prefecture, the least populous prefecture in Japan, well-known for its sand dunes. It doesn't get any more exotic than that.
